Richard L. Mortenson, age 81, died peacefully on February 14, 2014 at Sunrise on Vernier in Grosse Pointe Woods. Richard was born on September 12, 1932 in Detroit. He grew up on Detroit's eastside and graduated from Denby High School. He played on the water polo, ice hockey, baseball and football teams at Denby.
